Turn a Bird Feeder into a Planter
I got this beautiful bird feeder from Perch six months ago. I love their stuff, and have one of their Plantorbs hosting a very happy Kalanchoe uniflora in the kitchen, but the bird feeder was less successful.
It looked awesome in the garden, but the bird feeder totally failed when it came to actually feeding birds. It sat outside for six months. Birds are everywhere in our yard, but not a single one came anywhere near it. Eventually, the birdseed sprouted into grass. I was bummed out until I realized I could restring the leather strap to make it hang with the hole facing up.
Presto! Now it’s a planter.
